This form is for customers renewing a previous rental agreement. To fill out a contract for a new rental, head over to our New Rentals page.

You will be emailed a confirmation of receipt during business hours, and you will be asked to schedule an appointment to pick up your instrument*.

The first payment is due upon receipt of contract to secure your instrument. Your rental will automatically renews every three months and your card on file will be charged on the following dates: 11/20, 2/20, 5/20, and 8/20 on a recurring basis until your rental instrument is returned to Amadeus Strings.

*Delivery available to customers in Cornwall and Monroe Woodbury school districts.

Contract Terms

Rental Terms & Instrument Return Policy: 1. The violin/viola/cello/bass outfit you are renting is the sole property of Amadeus Strings. You may not sell it or move it to another state. 2. You must notify Amadeus Strings if your street address, contact information, or credit card information changes. 3. Renter may terminate this contract at any time by returning the instrument to Amadeus Strings at 105 Wennington Dr., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Renter is responsible for all rental payments until the instrument is returned to our business location. 4. Upon termination of your rental, the instrument and all included rented accessories (i.e. bows, shoulder sponges, and cello endpin anchors) must be returned to Amadeus Strings. Renter also agrees to pay any shipping & handling charges related to returning the instrument to Amadeus Strings.

Insurance & Repairs: 1. All rental instruments are privately insured by Amadeus Strings. Broken strings are not covered by insurance and are the responsibility of the renter. 2. Renter must inform Amadeus Strings if their instrument is in need of repair, and all repairs and adjustments to the instrument or bow must be completed by Amadeus Strings. Cornwall and Monroe-Woodbury School Districts: Amadeus Strings will pick up your damaged instrument from the student’s school and deliver a replacement. 3. Renter must inform Amadeus Strings in writing (through our website or by email) before traveling with their instrument outside of the U.S. for insurance to be valid. 4. Insurance is not valid if the renter’s account is overdue and renter will be responsible for all damage, loss, or repair costs to the instrument. 5. If your instrument is stolen, a police report must be presented to Amadeus Strings within one week of the theft, otherwise the renter assumes responsibility for the full replacement cost of the instrument*. *Full replacement costs of rental outfits are as follows: Violin outfit (1/10-3/4 size) $650; Violin outfit (4/4 size) $690; Viola outfit (10”-12”) $700; Viola outfit (13”-15”) $800; Viola outfit (15.5”-16.5”) $990; Cello outfit (1/8-1/2 size) $1550; Cello outfit (3/4-4/4 size) $1800; Bass outfit (1/8-3/4 size) $2200.

Rental Payments: 1. All rental customers must provide a valid credit card, which must be always kept up to date while the rental contract is active. The rental fee will be charged to your credit card before receipt of the instrument. 2. Rentals will be automatically renewed every three (3) months and fees will be automatically charged on a recurring basis until rental instrument is returned to Amadeus Strings. Amadeus Strings will email an invoice reminding you that your credit card on file will be charged for the upcoming renewal rental fee. 3. A late fee of $15 per month will be charged on rental payments that are over 15 days overdue. A bounced check fee of $15 will be charged when a check payment is returned due to non-sufficient funds. A credit card declined fee of $15 will be charged when a credit card is declined for payment. 4. Collection procedures will begin if an account is 90 or more days overdue. Renter is responsible for any necessary collection agency fees along with the value of the instrument. Once collection procedures have begun, Amadeus Strings may also repossess the instrument. Repossession terminates this agreement but does not relieve a parent or guardian of back rental charges. 5. Amadeus Strings has the right to refuse to lease/rent an instrument based on the results of a credit investigation.
